Television presenter, Razan Moughrabi revealed that she is in the process of preparing for a new show she will be hosting on MBC that will bring Eastern and Western singers together at the same time. The show (Sama'ni Kalam" (Talk To Me) will be based on the bringing one singers from the West and one from the East and have them both as guests at the same time.
According to the London based Elaph, it was revealed that the first guests on Razan's new show will be Western singer Enrique Iglaises and Eastern singer Samira Said. The show is expected to prove to be a big success due to the popularity Razan has gained over the years as a TV presenter.
It was added that Razan is also in the process of preparing for a new sitcom under the name of "Big Brother". The theme of the new show is taken from the popular American sitcom "Friencds", but with major alterations to make it suitable for its Arab audience.
Recently, Razan fiercely attacked the press accusing them of accepting money bribes from stars to write about them. Razan openly said that she knows of actual people who gave the press money wanting to gain more popularity by creating rumors and keeping their names in the spotlight. Razan did not specify but rather generalized this notion saying she was put in a similar instance and was offered the chance to have articles written about her in exchange for money.
Razan said that despite criticism regarding the manner she acts on her shows, she will continue to always introduce new and funky techniques to allure her audience. She expressed that it is her duty to always appear amusing and it’s this trait that has gained her popularity worldwide.
Razan said that she feels obligated to always leave her mark while presenting a show. Adding that she can not pretend to be a boring character, she intends on always being energetic and witty. She said she does not mind the negative criticism for everyone is entitled to his or her own opinion as she is entitled to hers.
Razan recently was part of the launch of the new MBC2 satellite channel. The new channel has been created mainly upon her request of having a channel that targets the young generation. When she first appeared on TV screens about 10 years ago, nobody anticipated that the she would ripe a huge success and enjoys an outstanding popularity.
Razan, holds a degree in Communication Arts from LAU in Lebanon, and joined MBC seven years ago after a successful three and a half years career at the Lebanese Future TV. On MBC, she is well known for her most popular western variety program, ‘Pops and Tops’. - Albawaba.com
