Lebanese television broadcaster, Razan Moughrabi is currently on location in Italy shooting the scenes for her first film “The Italian War,” alongside Egyptian actor Ahmad Al Sakka. Razan plays the role of a Lebanese woman who resides in Italy, and works as a con artist and a member of the Mafia.  Her character falls in love with a young man, who enables her to view life from a new perspective, and dramatic changes ensue.

Razan stated that she was impressed with the script from the beginning and did not request any alterations, and was not dissuaded by the fact that the part had been turned down by two well-known actresses, before her.

“The Italian War” is her first film, although Razan stressed that acting is not new to her since she was a theater major in college and took part in many plays as an undergraduate. She stated that she had declined previous offers for roles in different films, and that fate had it “The Italian War” be her first.

Razan is currently reviewing offers from production companies for her new album. She is also brainstorming ideas for a new television program that will mark her return.  Razan explained that she had insisted on taking time away from television to devote herself entirely to her upcoming CD, which she expects will be a big hit.
