The entertainment world was in shocked when it discovered that Moroccan singer Raja Bil Maleeh was suffering from breast cancer and urgently had to go to France to undergo treatment. Raja underwent intensive medical care for the treatment of breast cancer, after being diagnosed with the illness and had a surgery at the American-French hospital in France to remove the cancerous tumors. While undergoing treatment, Raja had refrained from any contact with the media wanting her focus to be mainly on becoming well and return home.
According to the London based magazine, Laha, the singer is still in France undergoing the final stages of her treatment is hopeful to return to her normal life in the soonest time possible. She revealed that all the cancerous tumors have been removed and is in her healing process. Raja added that the hospital she is being treated in is the same as the one Egyptian actress Sharihan was treated at.
Raja announced that she has no plans of quitting her career as a singer and intends on continuing her journey once her health condition allows it. She stressed that singing is a big part of her life, which she can not live without, and the though of leaving it never crossed her mind.
The singer began having pains in her chest after she delivered her son Omar. Raja went on a medical trip to France with her husband to undergo several tests and was then advised to begin chemical treatment. At this point, the singer moved her residence from Cairo to Paris, leaving her newborn with her mother, in order to start her 5 month treatment of the illness.
Raja has already had an operation at an American hospital, which was marked with success. The singer stressed that recurring pains sometimes forbid her from accepting phone calls and undergoing any activity. She communicates with her fans through her site on the Internet. Raja called on all her fans to pray that she gets well and that her health condition returns back to normal.
Before settling in Egypt, the singer had settled in the UAE in January of last year and established a company for art production that basically adopts emerging artists and helps them achieve their goals in the world of art. The company engages in supervising the organization of exhibitions and conferences.
The Moroccan singer has chosen the UAE after she had toured many Arab countries and found the UAE as the best qualified Arab country to host such a company. So she took her decision to settle and work in the country through her company.
“The establishment of my company does not mean quitting my career. On the contrary the company will enhance my future steps and will help new singers that other companies neglect while they are on the beginning of the road,” said Bil Maleeh.
