Through a miracle from God, Lebanese singer Ragheb Alama survived a reckless car accident that could have cost him to loose his life. While driving down one of Beirut's crowded roads, the singer was hit severely by another car from the back, which badly injured the two men accompanying him.

According to the Arab weekly magazine, Laha, the car that hit the singer was driven by two British men who are working Lebanon. Raghab survived the accident in good condition as his companions were rushed to hospital to undergo emergency medical care.

It was added that Ragheb had recently recovered from a nose operation that was done after he was experiencing difficulties in his nasal passageway. After he fully recovers from the operation and now the accident, the singer intends on returning to continuing his music career and begins preparations for his upcoming album.

Last month, tension that had clouded the relationship between Lebanese singers Alissa and Ragheb had increased tremendously after the two ran into each other by chance at a private concert held in Beirut, where the two were holding different performances.

Everything had been running smoothly until Alissa noticed that her picture on the posters advertised for the concert was extremely small in size compared to a gigantic photo of Ragheb. This case caused Alissa to have a fit as she began screaming and complaining to the sponsors about the immaturity of Ragheb to have done such a childish thing. She kept on shouting and saying things to a point where it was too late for her to calm down and avoid additional tension with Ragheb.

Alissa had earlier refused to believe that Ragheb had made any insulting remarks about her. She had stressed that she holds high respect for the singer and is grateful to him for giving her the opportunity to sing with him. Alissa also added that everything that had been said held no truth behind it.

Ragheb on the other hand, openly expressed his anger at Alissa during a concert on New Year’s Eve where the two sang their duet “Bitgheeb Bitrouh” (You Disappear and You Leave).

Ragheb’s anger was a result of the advertising banners that were focused mainly on Alissa and barely featured him, saying he is the reason behind her success and therefore he should have at least received the same amount of advertising if not more. Ragheb had also added that he regrets his duet with Alissa and stressed that he does not intend on holding a second duet with her. He added that allowing her to hold a duet with him did not gain her popularity but instead introducing her to his audience and fans is what made her known. –Albawaba.com
