Syrian actor, Qusai Khouly, is more used to hitting the headlines for rumors about his love life than attempts on his life but in the current chaos in his home country, the star has been lucky to escape the violence so far.
Qusaid told reporters this week that a gang of people tried to assassinate him in an ambush in one of the fancier neighborhoods of the capital.
An anonymous woman called the cops when she saw two suspicious looking men hanging around the star's car and when the authorities arrived at the scene they found the same men trying to plant a bomb under Qusai's vehicle.
It was a close shave for the actor, who is one of the few big names to stay in Syria, despite the civil war.
