Egyptian star Ahmed Zaki has revealed that he is thinking seriously about quitting acting, an announcement described as “the bomb of the season,” according to local dailies.
Zaki said that he had recently been struck with depression and sadness, particularly in view of the "war" he said was waged against his film Ayyam Al Sadat (Sadat Days).
“This is in addition to my suffering when my partners and friends left me alone to face the forgery mafia, which caused the film heavy financial losses and made it difficult for it to be screened in some Arab countries and thus adversely affected its distribution abroad,” added Zaki.
Zaki said that all these problems, in addition to dedicating four years to the film and turning down other work, had affected him psychologically and lowered his morale – Albawaba.com
