Poet Ali Al Fadley is one of the few young poets who were able to climb the ladder to success in such a short time by having some of the most prominent names in the music industry sing for him. Ali wrote a number of songs for Saudi singers Talal Salamah, Abdul Majeed Abdullah, and UAE singer Ahlam.
According to the UAE based daily, Al Bayan, Ali had announced that he regrets working for Ahlam and would never write another song for her ever again. Ali had written the songs "La Itsadigona" (Don't Believe Him), "Shaf Nafseh Shaf Halo" (He is Stuck Up), "Towsalni Akhbarak" (I Receive All Your News), "Thabah Al Hub" (He Killed Love), and many more for Ahlam. Ali's anger came from the fact that Ahlam has disregarded all credit owed to him by neglecting to ever mention his name in any of her press conferences and interviews. Fadley feels that he deserves recognition for his contributions to the singer and her negligence has led him to stop all cooperation with her.
On a different note, a war has broken out between Ahlam and Tunisian singer Thikra. Ahlam has attacked Thikra and accused her of lacking the talent to sing, demanding she put an end to the disgrace she is causing to the Khaliji (Gulf) song at once.
Ahlam said that Thikra's voice is horrible and it's a shame to consider her a singer. The attack came after Thikra released her latest Khaleji album, which Ahlam considered as a trespassing into her territory by an outsider.
The singer has revealed that she is deliberately avoiding the release of her new album in the fear of war breaking out in the region. The singer feels that if the US calls war on Iraq the music industry will also be affected negatively making any new release of albums at a time like that would be a total loss.
Ahlam intends on releasing her album when an agreement is reached between the US and Iraq and the possibility of a war no longer exists. After completing her new album the singer decided that it was not up to standards and rerecorded it over once more. The new album titled "Ahsan" (Better) features twelve songs written by prominent Gulf poets and composers. –Albawaba.com
