According to the London daily Elaph, the crew of the new television drama series “Sheikh Al Arab Hamam” (Hamam Shaykh of Arabs) have returned to Cairo after a 5 day visit to As’eed, Egypt.
The producer of the new series Ahmad Al Jabri said that the crew toured the cities Al Aqsar, Aswan, Wadfo, Koom Ambo and Farshout by boat.
The main character of the series, Sheikh Al Arab Hamam, played by famous Egyptian actor Yehya Al Fakharani is from Farshout.
The people of Farshout welcomed Al Fakharani and he also met the family members of Sheikh Al Arab that still reside there.
The crew started filming the new series on 15 January.
The new series is written by Abed Al Rahim Kamal, directed by Husni Saleh and jointly produced by Ahmad Al Jabri and Amr Al Jabri.
The series also stars Egyptian actress Sabreen and Tawfiq Abed Al Hamid.
