Egyptian director Sharif Sabri has announced that he has officially voided all legal contracts between him and Egyptian controversial singer Ruby, whom he discovered three years ago.

Sabri revealed that the breakup of the three contracts occurred on peaceful terms and he and Ruby decided to overlook all binding terms excluding the legal rights of the producing company of Ruby’s albums to the intellectual property of all the albums produced during the life of the contracts.

Sabri stated that the breakup was not a sudden movement but rather was being planned for some time and was announced unofficially in the recent period. Sabri noted that the reason behind the breakup is the main fact that he is extremely busy with other new singers and said that Ruby has reached a level of fame where she is now in need of a business manager and not a discoverer/maker of stars.

According to the London based, Al Sharq Al Awsat, Dr. Sharif Sabri made clear that his relationship, whether on a business or personal level, with Ruby is not eternal, yet he’ll always be by her side whenever she needs him. He also adds that both he and Ruby have reached a stage where they had to separate from one another. He goes on saying that he had discovered Ruby and made her a strong competing singer and the time has come for Ruby to rely on herself from now on.

On a different note, scenarist and director David Abd As Said has nominated Ruby for the leading role of his most recent film “Rasa’il Bahr” (Letters from the Sea). Ruby has given her initial acceptance to participate in the film and stated she will give her final and official acceptance once she is done with reading the entire script.
