The Syrian Ministry of Health has arrested a nurse accused of taking a photograph of Syrian singer George Wassouf while he was in a coma at the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). The nurse will be questioned and prosecuted for taking the photo and selling it to a phone company that in its turn began selling the picture as an MMS for one US dollar.
It is said that the nurse violated the code of conduct of nurses and disrespected the singer by taking a picture of him in such a state and sell it to make a few dollars.
On a similar note, George’s son Wadee has said that his father, who has been transferred to the American University Hospital in Beirut, is gradually improving health wise and his condition is stable. He added that George had woken from his coma and is communicating with family and friends who had visited him.
