Rumors have been circulating that Lebanese actress Nour and Egyptian actor Ahmad Izz are about to get engaged, but neither has admitted the two will be tying the knot.
Nour stressed that no such plans of engagement exist, and they are merely good friends who happen to work on the same films.
The two actors have worked on several joint projects; the latest is the film “Malaki Iskindirya,” which is already considered the most successful film of the summer.
Ahmad explained that for the time being his heart is alone, since he has been focusing all his energy toward building his acting career. The actor noted, once the time comes and he finds the woman of his dreams, he will happily announce the news publicly.
This is not the first time Ahmad has faced such rumors. Previously, false rumors were circulating that he had married a princess from one of the Gulf States and that her father had given him one million US dollars and a new car.
The film “Malaki Iskindirya,” starring Ahmad Izz and Nour has already earned a profit of 1.78 million Egyptian pounds from its first week of screening, making it the highest grossing film of the year, thus far.
This type of success has not been enjoyed by any other Arab film.
Director Sandra Nash’at and producer Wael Abdullah chose a calculated promotional campaign for the film, which called on Ahmad to refrain from making any public appearances or even accepting any new acting offers until the film was screened.
