Considered one of the giants of the Arab silver screen, Egyptian actor Noor Al Sherief suspended the shooting of the last scenes he's working on in the new TV series "Al Attar Wa Al Sabe' Banat" (The Spice Dealer and the Seven Girls).
The Egyptian daily, Al Messa reported on Monday that the star traveled to Dubai yesterday, accepting an invitation from the MBC satellite channel to shoot an interview talking about his new TV series "Al Attar Wa Al Sabe' Banat".
In the series, scheduled to be screened on the MBC channel in the forthcoming fasting month of Ramada, actor Sherief plays the role of the spice dealer 'Abdul Rahman', who carries this profession from his father. Despite all difficulties being also an illiterate, the dealer succeeds in making a fortune with the help of his seven girls.
“The series will be delivering a new vision about family life amid the cultural and social changes over the years,” said Sharief. Costarring in the series will be Majda Zaki, Sawsan Badr, Sumaya al Alfi, Hala Fakher, Emad Rashad, Rania Fareed Shawki, as well as others.
Noor Al Sherief first appearance on the screen was more than 30 years ago. In 1967 he played the role of Kamal Abdul Jawwad, a trilogy by Nobel Prize winner Najeeb Mahfouz. From that date onwards, his ability to stand in front of the camera improved no end.
