Lebanese singer Nadine Saba is on her honeymoon after her sudden marriage to an Egyptian business man. Egyptian media attacked Nadine’s sister singer/actor Nicole Saba for not attending her own sister’s wedding.
According to the London based Elaph, Nicole said she was preoccupied in the city of Sharm El Sheikh and could not attend, calling into question the nature of the two sisters’ relationship.
Nicole’s business manager, Wael Al Masri, denied rumors that the relationship between the sisters was tense, stating that Nicole accompanied her sister throughout the entire process of preparing for the wedding, up to the point before the church ceremony.
A minor dispute between Nicole and Nadine’s husband erupted, which led to Nicole’s absence from the wedding ceremony, said Wael.
Nicole recently visited the headquarters of a major association organized to collect money to help Lebanese people, who were affected by the war with Israel. She contributed large quantities of milk and formula for children, and sent direct aid money to Lebanon with the help of the Lebanese embassy in Cairo.
Nicole called on everyone in the entertainment world to contribute and help as much as possible by making contributions to Lebanon.
When the war broke out, Nicole denied accusations by the media that she and a number of Lebanese singers did not cancel prescheduled concerts out of disregard for their country while at war with Israel.
“There is not one Lebanese person, whether an artist or ordinary citizen, that is not deeply affected by the agony our country is going through,” said Nicole, adding that she was compelled to hold a number of performances despite the war, since organizing committees of concerts decided to proceed.
