The tension that has clouded the relationship between Lebanese singers Alissa and Ragheb Alamah has increased tremendously after the two ran into each other recently. A few days ago at a private concert held in Beirut, the two singers had met and were both holding different performances.

According to the Egyptian weekly Al Nogoom, everything was running smoothly until Alissa noticed that her picture on the posters advertised for the concert was extremely small in size compared to a gigantic photo of Ragheb. This case caused Alissa to have a fit as she began screaming and complaining to the sponsors about the immaturity of Ragheb to have done such a childish thing. She kept on shouting and saying things to a point where it was too late for her to calm down and avoid additional tension with Ragheb.

Alissa had earlier refused to believe that Ragheb had made any insulting remarks about her. She had stressed that she holds high respect for the singer and is grateful to him for giving her the opportunity to sing with him. Alissa also added that everything that had been said held no truth behind it.

The singer feels that she is making a breakthrough in the music business by being successful in such a short time, adding that she was successful with her duet with Lebanese singer Ragheb Alameh as well as on her own.

Ragheb on the other hand, openly expressed his anger at Alissa during a concert on New Year’s Eve where the two sang their duet “Bitgheeb Bitrouh” (You Disappear and You Leave).

Ragheb’s anger was a result of the advertising banners that were focused mainly on Alissa and barely featured him, saying he is the reason behind her success and therefore he should have at least received the same amount of advertising if not more. Ragheb had also added that he regrets his duet with Alissa and stressed that he does not intend on holding a second duet with her. He added that allowing her to hold a duet with him did not gain her popularity but instead introducing her to his audience and fans is what made her known. –Albawaba.com
