Lebanese singer Nelly Maqdasi is placing the final touched on her upcoming album scheduled for release in December, instead of at the end of the holy month of Ramadan.
The new album is produced by Rotana featuring ten songs that are a mixture of Lebanese, Egyptian, Gulf and Bedouin dialects.
The album was first scheduled for release during the Muslim holiday Eid El Fitr, but the singer decided to postpone due to the fact that too many singers were launching their new work at the same time.
Nelly has cooperated with a number of prominent composers for her new album, including Prince Turkey Al Sidery, Hani Al Zagheer, and Khaled Al Bakri.
Nelly noted that the secret behind her success lies in her ability to express her true emotions through her lyrics, making her performance style genuine. She does not support the new wave of female singers who use their appearance alone to gain notoriety, in certain circumstances lacking real talent, she added.
