After her traffic accident few years ago and her long sabbatical, the Egyptian actress Samah Anwar returned to work in direction and then recently in acting.
The series Al Hobb Wa Al Baroud (Love and Gunpowder) has been the first of her performances after she returned.
“The best thing I liked in the series was that I would work with Nelly even before I read the script or learned more details,” Anwar told Albawaba.com
She added that early in the New Year she would begin shooting her starring role alongside Samir Sabri in the film Ahsan Farah Fi Masr (Best Wedding in Egypt). “It will be the first role I play after a long hiatus and perhaps it will be shot at the end of January or beginning of February next year,” she added.
Anwar is currently shooting the series A’alam Bidoon Asrar (World without Secrets) directed by Hasan Al Saifi.
However, the international actor Omar Al Sherif is enthusiastic to work with Anwar as a director and he always says that he prefers to collaborate with a genius or new director to bring about something new together.
