Negotiations between Nawal Al Zoughbi and Rotana reach a dead end

Negotiations between Lebanese singer Nawal Al Zoughbi and the production company Rotana have reached a dead end after both sides failed to come to mutual terms. Both sides refused to meet the conditions of one another leading the possibility of their cooperation hopeless.

 

According to the <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" />London based Elaph, Rotana refused to agree to Nawal’s condition of not having her songs aired solely on the company’s music channel and give her permission to have all her clips broadcasted on different satellite channels. It was revealed that this main reason was behind Nawal’s breakup with her previous production company Alam El Phan.

 

Nawal had recently ended her contract with Alam Al-Fan and it was almost confirmed that she will return to her first production company Rotana. Nawal had a meeting with Prince Walid Bin Talal, owner of Rotana, in Beirut during his brief visit to Lebanon

Nawal had refused to give the details behind the breakup stressing that the matter was settled peacefully with the consent of both parties. The singer did reveal that she is against Alam El Phan's policy of broadcasting the work of its singers on specified channels only, mainly ones owned by them. –Albawaba.com
