Recent rumors have stated that Kuwaiti singer Nawal is seriously thinking of living in Beirut – Lebanon, and may in fact find a permanent apartment. The singer’s career has been revolving around her being present in Lebanon, where she shot her most of her music videos.
According to the UAE based daily, Al Bayan, Nawal is to shoot her forth video clip with Merna Khayat in Beirut in the upcoming few days. Merna and Nawal became friends after years of cooperation but this is not the only reason that Nawal has stuck with Merna, but also because the latter was able to give Nawal just the right image to present herself to her fans with.
Merna succeeded in showing the audience all the positive characteristics of Nawal’s personality through her creative work and directing. The latest video clip is for the latest song in Nawal's new album [Ma3goula Tinsani] words by Musa'ed al-Duweis and composed by Hassan Abdullah. The new video clip was filmed in various places in Lebanon but this time no scenes will be shot in studio.
Merna revealed that Nawal sent her the new Album and Merna chose [Ma3goula Tinsani] to film it as a video clip because it's very easy to remember and it is full of beautiful meanings. In the new video clip Nawal will be acting for the first time. The video clip tells the story of a woman who falls in love with a guy then he disappears without any obvious reasons then she starts to remember her good days with him.
Nawal's new look is the work of Fadi Qataya and hairdresser Waseem Murqos, who have managed to stay away from the traditional style. Merna directed three other video clips for Nawal and they were [Rou7, AlShog Jabak, and Tafaseel].
Rotana is supposed to start airing the clip in the coming few days meanwhile Merna is recovering these days from a malaise to start working again on two video clips for Amal Hijazi and Shireen Wagdi.
Nawal had completed recording the songs for her upcoming album, which was produced and released by Rotana Music Production Company. The singer’s new album features 12 new songs each carefully chosen, composed, and written by some of the most prominent composers and poets.
One of the highlights of Nawal’s album is a song sung in proper Arabic written by the well-known poet Dr. Suad Al Sabah under the title “A’erif Rajulan” (I Know a Man). Nawal has also included a song in the Egyptian dialect, which is a first time attempt by the singer. – Albawaba.com
