Lebanese singer Nawal Al Zoughbi is preparing for her upcoming tour around Gulf countries starting off in Kuwait and then heading to Dubai. Nawal recently returned from a successful tour around the United States and Canada in which she gave twelve performances.
According to the London based daily, Alsharq Al Awsat, upon her return from Dubai Nawal will begin recording the songs for her upcoming album, which includes the talent of prominent Egyptian composers like Waleed Saed.
Nawal’s business manger and brother, Marcel Al Zoughbi indicated that the singer does not plan on filming any new music videos at the current time. She recently released two clips from her previous album and does not want to interfere with their success.
Nawal revealed that since she ended her contract with Alam Al-Fan she has not come to an agreement with any other production company. The singer explained that she is currently holding negotiations with first production company Rotana, but has not made any commitments thus far due to conditions of exclusivity, amongst others she does not accept.
Previously Rotana refused to agree to Nawal’s conditions, which would allow her clips to be broadcasted on different satellite channels. This is the main reason behind Nawal’s breakup with her previous production company Alam El Phan.
Nawal stressed that if she does not find a suitable company she will begin to produce her own music and create a new production company named Tia Production after her daughter. The singer refuses to abide by the rules of exclusivity that most companies demand, despite the fact that she had signed a contract with the Lebanese Broadcasting Company that specifically states any clip she produces must be aired solely on their channel for the first month.
