Nawal Al Zoghbi fires up “Timqyad and Al Kazif” stages

Lebanese artist Nawal Al Zoghbi hosted two live concerts at the “Timqyad Festival” last week, her fifth appearance in Algeria.


She attracted a large number of fans making the fourth night of the “Timqyad Festival” the most successful.


According to the London daily Elaph, Nawal performed a collection of her great songs on the Roman City Theater. Nawal’s songs drove the fans wild. They loved her performance which lasted for two hours.


Despite the success, the festival’s management was criticized for having local music groups perform for two hours before Nawal got up on stage.


During her press conference Nawal said that participating in various festivals adds to her success and it is great for a music artist to leave his or her signature.


Nawal gave her second concert at the “Al Kazif Theater.” The audience sang along and danced to the music of her songs. The fans did not let Nawal leave the stage and asked her to continue her performance. She replied,“I could sing till the morning for you.”


Nawal said that she is very pleased with the success that her latest album “Khalas Samehet” (I Forgive You).  She has filmed two video clips for the new album for the songs “Albi Isalo” (Ask My Heart) and “Leh Mishtalak” (Why I Miss You) with the Lebanese director Saeed Al Marouq.


 Nawal announced that she would love to sing another song in the Algerian dialect and that she is interested in singing a duet with an Algerian music artist.
