Lebanese singer Nancy Ajram is scheduled to hold a concert in Dubai at the end of September sponsored by McDonalds, Emirate Air, and the city of Jumaira.

The event is an advertising campaign for Coca Cola Soft Drinks and will consist of prizes. Anyone who buys six cans of cola (regular or diet) automatically enters the race to win two nights, all expenses paid, in Jumaira and dinner out on the town with Nancy, quite a reward for sipping from a diet soda.

The moment the international soft drink company Coca Cola announced that Nancy would be their new face for their television commercials, rumors began circulating about the singer’s compensation.

Some estimated that the singer received 2 million US$, which is one of the highest rates given to any Arab singer by an international company, while others claim her wage only amounted to 1.5 million US$, and other estimates are even lower.

Nancy’s real wage is not exactly known.

The first commercial Nancy made for Coca Cola was filmed in Cairo.  The theme is that of young people enjoying a good time, sitting around relaxing and drinking Coca Cola.

The singer revealed that she was very interested in doing the commercial especially due to the fact that the idea of it is very similar to a music video. The singer underwent a major makeover to appear with a new look especially for the commercial and the joy of Coca Cola.
