She judges other performers aplenty on air the talent show Arab Idol, but she doesn't like the heat she's under for her most recent video clip.
If you've seen Nancy Ajram's "Ma Tiji Hina" (Why Don't You Come Here), then you're probably wishing your watermelon vendor wore red dresses like that too, assuming it's a female at least, but the conservative crew have cast a very critical opinion on the provocative piece.
We're not sure if she's in denial or just blind to her own body beauty, but the songstress is refusing to admit her music video is scandalous in the least.
"I don't see what I presented as being seductive, and at the end of the day each person is entitled to their own opinion. There are people who watched the clip and did not understand its story and only concentrated on my appearance," she defended in a radio interview.
According to Laha Magazine, she added, "The clip really makes me laugh because it is like a short film about a character that is only concerned with selling watermelons to make a living."
Nancy stated that she always makes it a point that any clip she films tells a story and said, "I do not fool people with clips that are merely lipsing and a show of new looks, hair and makeup."
When asked what her husband thinks of the clip, Nancy replied, "My husband laughed so hard when he watched the clip and told me, 'I want to make you to sell watermelons in real life".'
We all do, Nancy, we all do. Well, except those haters of course.
