Lebanese singer Nancy Ajram has revealed that she plans on releasing her upcoming album during the Muslim holiday Eid Al Fitr, which will occur during the beginning of November.

The singer noted that for the first time in her career, she will only include six songs in the album, which is a mixture of Lebanese and Egyptian songs.

Nancy has not yet decided on the song she will film in the form of a music video, stressing that she is hopeful of making a decision in time to complete the clip with the release of the album.

Ajram has answered back to all those who opposed her being honored at the eleventh round of the Cairo International Song Festival, claiming that she is too young and unqualified for such an honor.

During the event, which took place at the Cairo Opera House, Nancy stated, “I believe that I have presented a number of very successful works, and this award does not measure age, but rather the success a person has achieved.”

Nancy also denied that she was honored only as a ploy to have her sing at the event for free, stressing that even if she was not honored she had intended on performing.  It is an honor alone to sing at the Opera House, she added.
