Egyptian actress Najlaa Fathi was nominated for the leading role in a new film "Lao Kunt Youm Ansak" (If I Were To Forget You One Day) a story written by Dr. Mohammad Rif'at. The film revolves around the story of a woman in her mid-forties who falls in love with a man half her age.

Najlaa's affair with the younger man causes rise to a number of social dilemmas and criticisms to take place. Young Egyptian actor Fathi Abdul Wahab plays the role of Najlaa's lover.

On a different note, Najlaa announced that she and Egyptian actress Mervat Ameen will join hands to take part in a new film, whose name has not been revealed, after they found an interesting script taken from an English novel.

Director Mohammad Khan is currently working on preparations for the film which is to begin shooting in the very near future. The two actresses previously worked together in the film "Anf Wa Thalath Iyoun" (A Nose and Three Eyes). In the film, only one scene presented them at the same time in which Najlaa played the part of a young romantic woman and Mervat was the mentally disturbed one.

Najlaa's last film was "Batal Min Al Junoob" (A Hero From The South) directed by Mohammad Abo Yousif. -Albawaba.com
