Egyptian singer Mustafa Amar has decided to steer away from the typical romance films he has been making for years, and plans on starring in his first comedy “Hareem Kareem” (Kareem’s Women). The script is written by Zeinab Aziz and directed by Ali Idrees, and will costar a number of young Egyptian actors such as Riham Abdul Ghafour, Dalia Al Buhairi, Yasmeen Abdul Aziz, Bassma, and Ola Ghanem.
The leading actor gets himself involved in a number of love affairs with different women at the same time. Consequently he is forced to marry more than one of the women, which leads to pure comedy. The film tackles issues regarding relationships between men and women and the secrets behind married life and its challenges.
Recently Amar took part in the film "Hubbak Nar" (Your Love is Fire) alongside Nelly Kareem and a number of Egyptian actors. The film revolves around a love story between two young people who overcome great obstacles to live a happy life together. The opening scenes of the film were shot without Mustafa since he was preoccupied with shooting his latest music video for the song "Meen Ghairak" (Who Besides You) under the direction of French Stephan Bernard.
On a different note, Mustafa is searching for the right production company for his upcoming album, and has no intention of renewing his contract with Muhsin Jaber, owner of Alam El Phan Production Company. Mustafa made the decision as a result of disputes he encountered with Muhsin that had reached a dead end.
