Screen writer Zeinab Aziz announced that she has almost completed the script for a new film directed by Ali Idrees and staring Egyptian singer Mustafa Amar.
The charismatic duo collaborated on the recent film “Hareem Kareem” (Kareem’s Women).
According to the London based Elaph, the new film is titled “Isabit Al Dactoor Omar” (Dr. Omar’s Gang). Zeinab refused to disclose any further details, but did reveal that Egyptian actor Hannan Turk has been nominated for the leading role alongside Mustafa.
Filming of the first scenes is scheduled to begin in February 2006.
The film marks the first cooperation between Hannan and Mustafa in the past five years. The last film they starred in together was “Al Hub Al Awal” (The First Love).
Amar was recently in Turkey where he filmed the outdoor scenes for his upcoming television drama, “Ali Ya Waika,” directed by Mohammad Al Najjar.
Egyptian actor Dalia Al Buhairi costars alongside Mustafa in the drama.
Mustafa also filmed two music videos to be included in the drama.
The drama, written by Mustafa Muhram, revolves around a young man’s journey to success in the business world. The drama was initially scheduled for completion in time for Ramadan, but faced delays in production.
