Egyptian actress Muna Zaki has turned down her nomination by director Ali Ragab to star in the upcoming film “Sai’ Joe” alongside Egyptian actor Sherif Muneer. The director had in turn nominated actress Ghada Rajab for the leading role and to replace Muna.

According to the London based daily, Al Sharq Al Awsat, Sherif revealed that Muna had demanded that the name of film be changed if she were to accept her nomination taking into consideration her husband’s feeling. Muna did not want to make her husband feel she is trying to compete with him especially after he had taken part in the film “Sai’ Baher” last year. When the director and scenarist of the film refused Muna’s condition, she regretfully backed out and apologized for being unable to continue with them despite the fact that she really liked the story.

Zaki has finally completed shooting the final scenes of her upcoming film “Ahlam Umrina” (Our Life’s Dreams), which will be ready for screening during the Muslim holiday Eid Al Adha. Muna had spent two days inside a horse stable to shoot some of the scenes that involve her involvement with a horseback riding trainer.

Muna plays the role of Nadi, a Fine Arts university graduate who meets a young handsome horseback trainer, played by Egyptian actor Mustafa Shabaan, and the two begin living a romantic love story. The cast of the movie [Abu Ali] had to stop working and wait for Muna to return from Beirut so they can resume filming. The filming will take place in Al-Wahat near the Libyan border, where actor Kareem Abdul Aziz [Abu Ali] and his lover Muna will be chased.

It is expected that the movie will be introduced to the public in a ceremony during the Eid Al-Adha holidays. The movie is written by Bilal Fadel and directed by Ahmad Galal, production is by the Arab Company for Production and Film Distribution. -Albawaba.com
