The famous Egyptian actress Muna Zaki received an award for best actress in 2009 through a survey conducted by the magazine “Deer Jest.” An award ceremony was held on 29 January.
The Egyptian actor Ahmad Iz received the award for best actor and Sharif Arafah received the award for best director.
The famous Egyptian superstar Amro Diab received the award for best male artist for his latest album “Wayah” (With him), released in 2009. The Egyptian artist Shireen Abed Al Wahab received the award for best female artist.
Yusra was also awarded for her dramatic work and the leading Arab production company ‘Rotana’ received the best production company award.
According to the London daily Elaph, the “Deer Jest” survey, conducted in Egypt is considered to be one of the most important public surveys in the region. The first survey was conducted by the magazine in 2004.
