Muhammad Muneer celebrates 25 years of success

Egyptian singer Muhammad Muneer celebrated the 25th anniversary of his singing career at an event attended by over 4 thousand people all wanting to share the special moment with the singer. The event took place in the heart of Cairo-Egypt, and once the singer appeared on stage, the crowd stood and began clapping and cheering him on for over 15 minutes. 

 

According to the London based, Elaph, Munir thanked everyone for attending the celebrating stressing that they are the reason behind his success. He began talking about his journey throughout his career, and how he had struggled to be where he is today. Munir sang a collection of his old and new songs, as a way of showing his appreciation to everyone who made a difference in his career. 

 

Munir has recently released his new album "Ahmar Shafaif" (Red Lips) which consists of eight songs written by prominent poets. Munir had decided on the release date after an emergency meeting he held at his home with a member of the board of directors for Alam Al Fan music Production Company, which manages all his albums.  

 

Mohammad believes that his new tape is shaking the music industry because it introduces a mixture of old and new styles of singing in one. Munir also added that the songs in his album harmoniously come in a sequence to tell a story. 

 

Munir stole the spotlight at the Berlin International Festival 2003 with his song "Madad Ya Rasoul Allah" (Help Our Beloved Prophet". After September 11 attacks, the Egyptian singer has sought to forward a message to the world through his song, answering the need of a special type of songs to be created in order to interact with the prevailing conditions in the world. 

 

Munir performed his song at the grand opening of the festival and a variety of his old and new songs. The singer has also signed a contract to hold a tour around Europe after his performance in Germany, taking him to seven different countries. The countries Munir will perform in include, Germany, France, Denmark, Holland, Sweden, and two other that will be revealed at a later date. 

 

The Egyptian singer said that events influence him as an artist and a singer. "Madad" has been prepared for the aftermath of the September 11 attacks, which the enemies of Islam exploited to taint it. Since his only defense against the brutality of people against Islam and its followers, Munir the song to show the real Islam that calls for peace and respect of mankind regardless of religion. The song was written by Kawthar Mustafa and its tunes were based on Rawhan Ponka cadences, which are similar to the international music language.  

 

CNN aired a documentary about the singing of career Egyptian singer Mohammad Munier naming him the singer of peace. Munier's songs send a message portraying the political and social views of his people. CNN said that Mohammad deserved the title as a singer of peace after the release of his last album, which called for peace around the world.  

 

CNN also noted that the singer is proud to have had the opportunity to sing in nine different movies for the great Egyptian filmmaker Yousef Shaheen, and was in fact regarded as the cinematic voice of Shaheen. CNN added that Munier follows the philosophy of individual worth in life and in fact he stresses to take on roles that attribute to self worth of a person in any film he acts in. – Albawaba.com
