According to the London daily Elaph, Saudi singer Muhammad Abdoh’s sudden illness nearly canceled opening night of the “Hala Febrayer” (Welcome February) Festival in Kuwait.
Abdoh is an annual guest of the Kuwaiti festival, but this year Abdoh had to force himself to be part of the celebration for his fans, waiting to hear his old and new songs.
Kuwaiti host Jomana Bo Eid presented the Saudi singer, after he arrived nearly an hour late since he was waiting for his doctors to give him medication.
Abdo congratulated Kuwait and its people on their national day, and dedicated a song to all Kuwaitis “Barki Ya Kuwait” (Congratulate Kuwait). Fans waved Kuwaiti flags as he sang.
Abdoh also sang “Al Hawa Al Ghayeb” (The Absent Love) from his latest album, released in the beginning of March.
Abdoh was moved by his fans.
He had to take a 45 minute break, because he was suffering a shortness of breath. Once again Abdoh fought his sickness and went up on stage to continue the celebration that lasted till 4:00 in the morning.
