The situation between prominent Egyptian singer Angham and producer Mohsin Jaber, owner of Alam El Phan Production Company, is deteriorating after Angham's transfer to Rotana. Jaber voiced that the roots of the problem was that Angham signed a three-year contract with Rotana before her contract with Alam El Phan expired, reported the London based daily Al Quds Al Arabi.

Mohsin added that he is going to sue her in court demanding that all his legal rights, according to their contract are met or at least compensated financially. Muhsin added that Angham has committed fraud by signing a contract with Rotana not notifying them that her previous contract had not ended.

The contract between Angham and Alam El Phan states specifically that the singer must submit at least three albums, and she had only released two, meaning that the company after being compensated will still have rights over the singer’s third album when it is produced.

Jaber said that singers grew greedier and wanted larger amounts of money for themselves without spending money on the quality of their albums. He suggests the key to get rid of this situation is by exploring a new generation of young singers who are still devoted to singing and want to prove themselves.

Alam El Phan was the first company to offer singers high amounts of money to produce their albums. Mohsin commented that he does not mind to give the singer his wage if the sales cover his expenses and give some profit to the company. But now things has changed and the economical situation has changed significantly in a way that its impossible to pay them the same amounts of money they used to make.

Circulated rumors had it that Alam El Phan is for sale, but Mohsin concluded that the news is not true and the company is still strong by having many stars like Rageb Alamah, Samira Saeed, Diana Haddad, Mayada Hinawi, and Mustafa Amar. The latest news is that Mohsen Gaber is preparing to launch his second satellite channel (Mazzika world) and a third one to follow very soon.

Days after Angham signed her contract with the Music Production Company Rotana, Jaber dropped an unexpected bombshell threatening to take legal actions against her. Muhsin claimed that the contract his company had with Angham had not ended to allow her to sign a new contract. -Albawaba.com
