The prominent Sudanese singer Mohammed Wardi said in a press conference in Khartoum Tuesday that the reason behind his immigration from Sudan was his willingness to produce a good art and “such a reason is not free from politics.”
Wardi confirmed that he would perform three open concerts at Khartoum international expo and the dates are to be set after June 10. He pointed out that he would present in the concert three new productions including two romantic by poets Mohammed al Makki Ibrahim and Hashem Sadiq and a third political one by poet al Fitouri.
The singer revealed that he would undergo kidney transplant surgical operation in the United States and he would accompany the kidney donor on his trip. Wardi will return to settle for good in Sudan if the medical test analyses and the surgical operation are successful.
Admonishing the Egyptian media, Wardi said, “they did not give me the opportunity for serious art throughout my four-year stay in Cairo as I had no chance to record any songs despite the fact that I am the singer of the two peoples. My art is liked by the public in both Egypt and Sudan.”
He added, “the rhythms which attracted attention, according to my experience, were al Dalib and al Daloukah which are famous Sudanese cadences.”
