Renowned singer Mohammed Munir has recently finished shooting the video for his new song "Ya Alaam Isha" (Wake Up World!), which comes as part of his participation in the campaign jointly launched by WHO and the National Egyptian Campaign to eradicate polio.

The Qatari daily, Al Raya, reported Friday that the singer has been putting all his efforts into this song for the last two months. The song, written by Kawthar Mustafa and directed by Saber Aked, will mark Munir's first song for children, "This is the first time I sing for children, and I hope it would help in the campaign against polio," said Munir.

In his belief that interaction with the nation's issues is the message of each and every artist, Munir is believed to have produced this song himself.

Earlier in July, Munir kicked off his summer tour with an evening concert at the Egyptian Opera House. The concert, entitled "Land and Peace", was performed on a stage built purposely for the event at the Opera's courtyard. Another concert for Munir was at Jordan's Jerash Festival on July 27, followed by his participation at Tunisia's Cartage Festival. – Albawaba.com
