Saudi promoters in the Gulf states began hyping the album Ana Qalbi Masaken Shaabiyyah (My Heart Is a Popular Dwelling) by the Egyptian singer Mohammed Munir last week, according to the London-based daily Al Sharq Al Awsat.
The album, produced by Fairy Music Co., includes 10 new songs such as Soyasso, written by Kawther Mustafa, and Bitibe’dni (You Are Keeping Me Away), with lyrics by poet Abdel Wahhab Mohammed and music by Walid Saad.
Munir wanted to diversify his new album, so he included the song Hekayati Maa Al Zaman (My Story with Time) sung by Wardah, with lyrics by Mohammed Hamzeh and the tune by Baligh Hamdi.
The album includes other songs, such as Lamma Al Nasim (When the Breeze), written by Baha Eddin Mohammed and composed by Hasan Abul Saud, Shai Min Baeed written by Murci Jamil and put to music by Mohammed Al Moji, Qalbi Masaken Shaabiyyah, with lyrics by Mahjoub Sharif and composed by Wardi Al Saghir, Eneiki Hilween (Your Eyes are Beautiful) written by Mustafa Murci and composed by Mohammed Hosni, and Fi Dairet Al Rihleh written by Yaser Abul Naser and composed by Ahmed Munib - Albawaba.com
