As part of the Saudi artists’ solidarity campaign, the prominent singer Mohammed Abdoh has opened the doors of his studios in the Saudi city of Jeddah for recording songs about the Palestinian Intifada, as part of his support and encouragement of the Palestinian struggle against the Israeli occupation, according to the London-based daily al Sharq al Awsat.
The Saudi singer has allocated Sawt al Jazeera Studios which he owns, for recording patriotic songs. Yet he formed an artwork team who is preparing for a solidarity concert in favor for the Palestinian martyrs’ families.
Abdoh has nominated Saudi musician Mohammed Shafiq to compose a new operetta to be performed at the concert, in which he will sing along with a number of Saudi song stars – Albawaba.com
