In a quick and exclusive phone interview, young Egyptian actress Mirna Al Muhandis announced that she will be returning home to Egypt in three weeks time after undergoing a critical surgery in London to remove the tumors, which proved to be very successful. Mirna had at first underwent a series of unsuccessful drug medications in Cairo for the treatment of cancer, and was then taken to London.

According to the London based Elaph, Mirna revealed that she had completed the shooting of her latest television series "Qamar September" (September's Moon), alongside prominent Egyptian actress Mervat Amin, before heading off to London. Mirna added that she has received many film offers during her stay in London and will look closely into them once she returns home.

The TV drama "Qamar September" marked Mirna’s first role after returning to the acting world. In the series Mirna plays the role of a university student who throughout the course of events meets a well-known journalist played by Mervat, whom she becomes very attached to and begins to look up to her as the perfect role model.

Mirna's illnes surfaced after she finished shooting her role in the TV drama "Nigmet Al Gamaheer" (Superstar); she flew to London where doctors were trying different medications to improve her condition, but all their efforts proved to be unsuccessful the thing that made them decide to go for surgery.

Mirna was accompanied by her uncle who lives in London. Daily phone calls with Mirna’s uncle are being made to make sure that Mirna is healing quickly.

Doctors treating and supervising the health condition of Mirna have revealed that the actress is responding to her treatment and her condition is witnessing gradual improvement. Mirna’s sister in Cairo has assured that her sister’s health condition is getting better by the day as she is responding perfectly to the treatment her British doctors made for her.

Mirna, who recently returned to the acting world after taking time off due to be treated for cancerous tumors in her abdominal, has once more been rushed to hospital after passing out being unable to take the pain she was feeling. The actress had previously thought that she was rid of her illness and so returned to taking on a number of acting jobs in different TV series, but over exhaustion led her condition to deteriorate once more becoming worse than it was at first.

Mirna entered the hearts of everyone two years ago in the drama series “Banat Afkari” (My Brainchildren) scripted by Mohsen Zayed and directed by Yahya Al Alami. She costarred with Egyptian actress Elham Shahin and distinguished Egyptian Actor Mahmoud Mursi. -Albawaba.com
