After being absent for more than three years, Egyptian singer Midhat Saleh has returned to the music industry with a new album called “Hobak Khatar” (Your Love Is Dangerous). The new album includes 10 different songs that vary between romantic and fast beat songs.
According to the London daily Elaph, Saleh worked with a number of well-known poets and composers. “Alam Al Fan (World of Art)” Production Company will be producing Saleh’s new album and this is considered to be their fourth time working together. The production company previously produced “Wa’di” (My Promise), “Allah Ya Sidi” (Oh My Pal) and “Jai Ala Nafsak Lieh” (Why Beat up Yourself) by Saleh.
Saleh made clear how pleased he is with the new album, where he considers it as a new and unique move in his 25 years of singing journey. Saleh denied rumors saying that he’ll be starring in a new cinema film.
He adds that all cinema projects are postponed till he’s done filming his new television drama series “Hikayat Al Banat” (Girls Stories) that was created by Majdi Al Abyari and directed by Ibrahim Al Shaqanqari. Female singer Maha Al Badri will be taking leading role alongside Saleh in the new series.
The events of the new drama revolve around an actress where a writer gives her a role in a television drama series. The actress then reads the script of the drama series and she finds out that the scenario revolves around 30 different girl stories. The new drama is a social yet a comedy and it includes a number of songs and duets.
It is needless to say that Saleh’s last drama work was the television drama series “Cinderella” and it was unsuccessful one too despite the fact that the famous Egyptian actress Muna Zaki started in it. Saleh played the role of the late Egyptian legend Abed Al Halim Hafez.
