Mervat Amin counters money laundering Mafia

The Egyptian actress Mervat Amin will return to TV drama after a several year-sabbatical through taking the starring role in the series “Long Live Justice”. The series tackles the issue of money laundering and depicts the September 11 attacks in the United States. 

Costarring in the series along with Amin under the direction of Mohammed Abdel Aziz are Mustafa Fahmi and Madihah Yusri. 

“I have chosen Farida character because she is weak at the beginning and defeated easily by the first shock she faces particularly after she discovers the falseness of the world of dreams she lives in. She gathers her mental and psychological abilities to counter many problems and defend herself and her small family. This comes after a series of heartbreaking and scaring threats which change her weak personality into a strong lady who steadfast against injustice and oppression,” Amin told the UAE daily al Bayan. 

She added, “the series includes extremely cool humanitarian and romantic dimensions in addition to tackling many important issues including money laundering, tax elusion and cooperation with suspected organizations. This is the first series since the September 11 attacks and is supported by archived photos of the collapse of the World Trade Center twin towers.
