According to the London daily Elaph, the young artist May Salim declined to take part in the new television drama series “Al Aar” (Disgrace), based on the film “Al Aar” that was released 1982. The famous Egyptian actress Elham Shaheen initially played the role that May declined.
The role did not suit her character, said May, stating that she is looking for a specific role with the characteristics to launch her television drama career.
May also turned down an offer to star in the television drama series “Al Anidah” (The Stubborn). Her sister Mayes was offered a role in the same series. May said that she declined the role since she is busy filming the movie “The Dealer” and recording songs for her third album.
May recently released a song called “Meen Eli Alak” (Who Told You) on radio stations. She filmed a video clip for the song in Lebanon with the director Mahmoud Al Miqdad. Filming lasted for two days and the production costs for the clip reached US$100,000.
