During a special visit to Jordan, controversial Lebanese singer Marwa appeared as a live guest on a daily program aired on the radio station "Sout Al Ghad" (The Voice of Tomorrow).
On the show Marwa agreed to answer any question posed by the host, no matter how personal.
According to the London based Elaph, the host asked extremely personal questions about her marriage, divorce, and family relations. Marwa became angry, who said the host went overboard, and she felt like she was being interrogated. Many listeners agreed that the host was too harsh on Marwa.
The host questioned Marwa about a rumored intimate relationship with her business manager. She described their relationship as one of true friendship, professionalism and nothing more.
Marwa asserted that many singers are jealous of her and imitate her style in their music videos. She denies that her clips are provocative, claiming she is extenuating her femininity.
Marwa has made her debut on the big screen in the Egyptian film “Haha and Tufaha”, alongside Yasmine Abdul Aziz and Tal’at Zakaria.
Marwa gives a number of musical performances throughout the film, written by Bilal Fadel and directed by Akram Fareed.
Recently, Marwa announced that she has nothing against Lebanese singer Haifa Wahbi, acknowledging that she did comment that Haifa is better fit to be a fashion model than a singer.
The relationship between Haifa and Marwa is known to be tense, especially since Marwa accused Haifa of imitating her, and that she even had several plastic surgeries done to try and look like Marwa.
Haifa had accused Marwa of stealing the idea of her music video ‘Rajab.’
