A Tunisian radio broadcaster, Hussan Taheri, had insisted he will not play songs by Lebanese singer Maria on his nightly show.

Hussan made the announcement after Maria’s recent inappropriate display at her birthday party, dancing on top of her cake.

According to the London based Elaph, Hussan stated that the moment he saw the pictures of Maria’s birthday bash, he was disgusted and disappointed that a singer would go to such an extent to get attention.

Hussan explained the events of Maria’s party on air, and the station was suddenly swarmed with calls from listeners supporting his decision.

Maria had held a grand celebration in honor of her birthday at the Siana nightclub in Lebanon with her business manager and friends that was considered over the top.

Maria was photographed dancing sensuously on her birthday cake while spreading the icing all over herself, wearing a provocative Barbie doll outfit.

Maria’s production company ‘Aya’ issued a press release stating that the birthday cake was superficial, and was created for the purpose of having Maria dance in it.
