Famous classy singer Majida Al Romi celebrated her daughter Hala Dafoni’s wedding to Elli Qar’an. The wedding took place at the Mar Al Yas Church in Al Qantari.
After the church ceremony there was a huge and glamorous ceremony held at the Habtoor Hotel and Majida gave her daughter a CD that has two new songs dedicated especially to her daughter for her wedding. A copy of the CD was given to all the guests at the wedding party. On the cover there was a dedication to her daughter written with her own hand writing and it said “To Hala and Elli with my ever lasting love”.
According to the London daily Elaph, the first song called “Beyoum Orsak” (On Your Wedding Day) that was written by Talal Haidar and Majida herself and the song was composed by Salim Asaf. The second song “Iftahi Qalbik” (Open Your Heart) was also written by Majida. The CD also included a recitation called “Belmajd Wal Karamah” (Honor and Glory) and the songs were recorded at the Jan Mari Ryashi studio. Hala is the oldest daughter of Majida and her younger daughter’s name is Noor.
Majida also sang at the wedding party, in addition Lebanese singer Rami Ayash sang for the married couple and there were other musical performances by other groups. A number of well known political personalities were invited and a number of well known people from the music world as well.
