Prominent Egyptian actor Mahmoud Abd Al Aziz has given his final agreement to star in a new television drama to be aired during the Ramadan season of 2012. The new drama is titled “Bab Al Khalq”(Door of the creator) written by Mohammad Suleiman Abd Al Malek and directed by Adel Adeeb.
Mohammad Suleiman revealed that the drama will present Mahmoud in a completely different image and role than any he had ever played in the past. Mohammad at the same refused to uncover the details of the new drama and Mahmoud’s character.
Mohammad Suleiman said that the story of the drama is in no way related to the events of the Egyptian January 25 Revolution, which overthrew the government of ousted President Husni Mubarak.
It is said that the story of the drama was ready before the revolution, and the makers of the drama refused to incorporate the events of the revolution in it. In addition, the drama was to be produced and ready for airing this past Ramadan season, abut production circumstances forced it to be postponed until next year.
