Lebanese singer Madline Mater who is residing in Cairo for the moment denied circulating rumors in newspapers and magazines regarding her latest film “Akher Kalam” (Last Talk) that state that Madline’s role was originally for famous Lebanese singer Haifa Wahbi.

According to the London daily Elaph, Madline who is living the time of her life among the Egyptian artists community, says that what some journalist wrote about her role in “Last Talk” isn’t true. Both Madline and Haifa have a great relationship and nothing and no one can change that. Madline also says that the role in the new film was especially made out for her, because the character she’s playing in the film is similar to her own personality.

“Last Talk” is written by Muhammad HIfthi and directed by Akram Farid. Alongside Madline a number of Egyptian actors will be starring in the new film like Hasan Hosni, Ahmad Maher, Rida Hamed and little girl Muna Arafa.

The events of the film revolve around a singer who rises from the bottom to the top. The film is considered to be a music comedy. Madline plays the role of the singer “Amirah” who at first is a very simple and poor girl that dreams of entering the world of music. She succeeds in accomplishing her dream and becomes a famous singer. Madline will be singing some of her own songs in the film.

The Lebanese blonde singer stated sure she did not have any problems acting in the Egyptian dialect, because she grew up hearing it in Egyptian songs, films and drama series. On the other hand if Madline forgot a line or didn’t speak the right Egyptian dialect director Akram Farid would stop the filming to make corrections and scenes would be repeated more than once in order to come out perfect.

Madlines adds that the crew of the film were very nice to her especially famous actor Hasan Hosni who was surprised with her acting ability. Madline says that acting took her away from singing, but as soon as she finishes filming the film she will work on finishing her new album. Madline had already recorded four songs from the new album and it will be produced by a foreign company that Madline is keeping the name of it a secret for now.
