The Lebanese artist Madline Matar refused taking the leading role in a new film which talks about the life of the late young Lebanese artist Suzan Tamim, who was killed in her Dubai apartment last year.
Matar stated that she will pursue starring in a new cinema film once more, but at the same time she wants to take her time in doing so. She said that she wants to choose the right and most suitable project for herself.
According to the Jordanian daily Al Rai, at the same time Matar revealed that
she is working on a new film with the producer Al Sabki who had produced her first Egyptian film “Akher Kalam” (Last Words). She said that she will start filming her scenes in Egypt soon. As for now they are only preparing for the new film, but Matar stated that she won’t talk about specific details of the film.
She added that she will carefully choose her new acting projects, because she is a singer not an actress and she doesn’t want acting to take her away from her music and singing.
With regards to her not being married until now, Matar said that she is just like any other woman, who wants to marry and have kids, and when she finds that special someone in her life she will announce the news to everyone. She dreams of a man that will fully understand her career and give her all his support in order to make a successful relationship. For the time being she is preparing for a new television drama series where she will play the role of the late famous Egyptian actress Hind Rostem.
She said that the new projects needs lots of studying and preparations. She said that many critics stated that she can play the role very well, yet she wants to take her time because playing the role of a famous person like Hind Rostem is very hard.
As for her dispute with the Egyptian artist Ruby, Matar said that the subject was overly exaggerated. She noted that she didn’t attack Ruby and that many tried to start rumors about the dispute, but she met with Ruby and had things
cleared out between them.
