Suddenly and without prior warning, Egyptian belly-dancer/actress Lucy withdrew from her role in the play “Al Nas Nus Nus” (People Half Half,) appearing at the National Theater in Cairo.
Despite Lucy’s enthusiasm and preparations for the play, she withdrew after a heated dispute erupted between her and the director.
According to the UAE based daily, Al Bayan, Lucy revealed that she had no other choice but to withdrawal from the play, especially since none of her requests were taken into consideration. There was also a lack of cooperation between the crew, she added.
Lucy insisted that she should have a say in the nomination of the remaining cast, a request the director refused. She was displeased with the selection of actors, stating they were not worthy of the production.
Lucy is scheduled to begin shooting a new music video, but did not reveal any details.
