Egyptian actress and belly dancer Lucy fainted in front of Egyptian actor Yahia al Fakhrany while shooting the final scenes from the Ramadan series “Juha al Masri” (The Egyptian Juha). She was immediately rushed to the hospital for all necessary tests, only to find out that Lucy is experiencing kidney failure due to lack of sufficient daily liquids.
Despite her critical health condition, Lucy refused to remain in hospital and was insistent on shooting the final scenes of the series and completing her role in a professional manner according to the UAE daily, Al Bayan. She took with her antiseptics to the studios in order to stabilize her condition while shooting the scenes placing the director in the uncomfortable position of constantly fearing another collapse by the actress.
The daily added that due to her desire and determination on finishing her job, her doctor assigned a personal nurse to stand by the side of Lucy at all times, giving her syringe shots when needed on the spot.

On a different note, in addition to Lucy’s role in the series, she is working on an album that is said to hold several surprises by being different from the music people hear today. "I will be working with composer Ammar Al Shurei'i on the album, but we have not yet decided on a release date" added Lucy.
Earlier last October, a controversy aroused between belly dancers Dina and Lucy over a possible film-role as the late Egyptian dancer, Samia Gamal. The competition was sparked between the two dancers after producer, Sami Al Adel, announced the idea of adapting the biography of Samia Gamal on the big screen.
Lucy expressed her eagerness to play Gamal's role, "it would be a dream come true for me, as I consider Samia Gamal one of the most important belly dancers in the history in Egypt." Meanwhile, Lucy denied that she was engaged in a personal conflict with anybody for that role, reiterating that such a character can be played more than once. -Albawaba.com
