Egyptian belly-dancer Lucy believes certain individuals have a personal vendetta against her, after numerous rumors have been circulating, which she claims have no basis.
One of the rumors claims that Lucy will resign from dancing, which she adamantly denies, noting the high demand for her performances at different hotels and private occasions.
According to the London based Elaph, Lucy also denied rumors that she is jealous of controversial Egyptian belly dancer Dina, although she does consider her a competitor. She stated that a dancer's wage signifies her importance, and in this case her wage is double of that of Dina's.
Lucy also claims that a recent poll conducted by the ‘American Scientific National Geographic Association’ determined that the most popular Egyptian dancer was Lucy.
On a different note, Egyptian director Mustafa Al Shal has convinced Lucy to accept the leading role his upcoming television drama “Waed Al Hur” (Free Promise) alongside Hisham Abdul Hameed, Abdul Rahman Abu Zahra, and Wafa Amer.
Al Shal initially approached Poussy for the role, but she demanded an extremely high wage of 900 thousand Egyptian pounds. Al Shal refused Poussy’s demands and decided to go with Lucy instead, who only requested 300 Thousand.
The drama, shot on location in Egypt, revolves around a young man who tries to take back his inheritance from his mother, after it was stolen by is uncle.
Lucy is preparing to shoot her upcoming music video. The dancer revealed that “the clip is provocative and will surely be attacked by negative criticism.” She refused to disclose any other details regarding the new clip, other than its anticipated success.
Lucy noted that she does not fear negative criticism, for as long as she is satisfied with her work, nothing else matters
