Longing takes Kuwaiti singer Nawal to a new level music clips

Kuwaiti singer Nawal is in the process of completing the recording of her latest song “El Shoog Jabak” (Longing Brought You Back). She spent long hours working on her new music clip in Beirut alongside with Lebanese director Mirna Khaiat Abu Al Yas.  

 

According to the Qatar based daily, Al Bayan, Mirna is putting extra efforts that will feature Nawal in a new style that goes with the current modern changes in the music world. Mirna stressed that she is insistent that she presents Nawal in a new light, but in the main frame of time and place, adding more style and taste to her respected image. 

 

The song composed by Mash’al Al Arouj is from her latest album released recently under the name of Nawal 2002. The daily reported that Mirna used many advanced camera techniques, special lighting, and chose the right spot to shoot the clip including a number of folkloric dancing performers. 

 

Nawal told the daily that she knew the outcome from Mirna’s directing of the music video would be feature a new and unique style that stems away from the usual traditional method of filming music video. The extra efforts placed by Mirna gave the song extra meaning and a feeling of compassion. 

 

The singer added that she was afraid at first to try something new fearing it may not match her style and may not be accepted by her audience. Once she had read the script for the music video and noticed all the lighting, number of dancers, and extravagant wardrobe, she felt more at ease and became eager to begin shooting.  

After completing the shooting of the music clip, Nawal was very happy with the outcome and grateful with Mirna’s had efforts to make it a success. Nawal added that she feels confident her fans will find the clip to be very satisfactory and amusing. 

 

On a different note, Mirna told the daily that Nawal’s tenderness in character and greatness in voice, give a director the choice to search for different ways to innovate.” Nawal is very easy to work with and very cooperative, she does not complicate issues and is always ready to try something new,” Mirna added. – Albawaba.com
