Young Egyptian singer/actor Loay has refused an offer to participate in the upcoming movie “El-Dunia 7elwa” (A Beautiful World) because it does not suit his popularity, according to his standards. The scenario of the movie is by Majida Kheir Allah and directed by Issam Shamma3, and revolves around a young singer who is seeking success with the support of his fiancé.
The opportunity comes when he was chosen to film a video clip with Miss Lebanon. The young star tries to approach and flirt with the Lebanese beauty and neglects his fiancé. Loay said this will give his fans the impression that he is an opportunist and thus will affect his popularity.
Scenarist Majida Kheirallah did not agree with the Loay saying that it would be a very good opportunity for him to prove his talent in acting in addition to singing.
Search for a young singer to do the part is still going. Other nominees to star in the movie are Hani Salamah, Yasmin Abdul Aziz and filming is scheduled to start in the near future.
Recently, Loay was asked to show up in front of an Egyptian district attorney for questioning and to investigate the death of a French journalist, Tornique Ado Yojo, who was found dead in her apartment in Almuhandiseen district of Cairo. Next to the victim a letter was found saying President Shirak, Moslem women will continue wearing Hijab.
Egyptian police had found out that Loay knew the journalist and had previously been seeing her going out with her six times during last December. Police had done genetic tests on Loay and had him write with both his hands for further analysis.
Loay was introduced to the Egyptian public only a few months ago when he released his hit single “Ah Ya Leil Ah Ya Ein”, which witnessed great success among Egyptian and Arab youth. –Albawaba.com
